MCA concrete aggregates – your questions.

What is the CE 2+ marking on concrete aggregates?

CE marking is mandatory to place aggregates on the European market (CPR 305/2011 regulation). It certifies compliance with the harmonised standard EN 12620+A1 for concrete aggregates. Level "2+" means that the factory production control is continuously assessed by a notified body (regular external audits), which is required for structural-use concrete.

Does MCA also hold the NF Granulats certification?

Yes. In addition to the mandatory CE 2+ marking, MCA Matériaux Concassés Ardennais' Warcq site is also NF Granulats certified (AFNOR reference NF P18-545 Article 10 Code A) for its tertiary washed aggregates. This is a French complementary and voluntary certification, attesting a higher level of quality. More details on the dedicated NF page →

Which gradings does MCA produce for ready-mix concrete?

MCA produces sand 0/4 and gravels 4/10, 4/14 and 4/20, all washed (tertiary aggregates) and intended for ready-mix concrete plants.
