BENOR for Belgium and Luxembourg.

What is BENOR certification?

BENOR is the Belgian standards-compliance mark. For aggregates, it certifies compliance with the NBN B 11-001 and NBN EN 12620 standards, and guarantees independent production control. It is the reference certification for concrete producers and precasters in Belgium.

Is BENOR recognised in Luxembourg?

Yes, BENOR certification is widely accepted in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg for the supply of concrete aggregates. Luxembourg concrete producers and ready-mix plants recognise it as a quality guarantee equivalent to local standards.

Which gradings are covered by MCA's BENOR application?

MCA Matériaux Concassés Ardennais' BENOR application covers 4 tertiary washed gradings produced in Warcq: 0/4 (sand), 4/10, 4/16 and 4/20 (gravels). The BENOR marking will only be applied once the certification is effectively obtained.

What is the difference between BENOR (Belgium) and NF (France)?

BENOR is the Belgian certification (NBN reference), NF is the French certification (AFNOR reference NF P18-545). The gradings differ: Belgium uses 4/16, France uses 4/14. MCA is NF certified in France and a BENOR candidate for Belgium and Luxembourg.

Can we order without waiting for BENOR certification?

Yes. MCA aggregates are already CE 2+ certified (mandatory European marking) and NF certified in France. This dual certification enables immediate supply to Belgian and Luxembourg sites that accept CE 2+. BENOR certification will be added once the process is completed.

From which site does MCA supply Belgium and Luxembourg?

MCA produces the aggregates covered by the BENOR application at its Warcq site (Rue François Urano, 08000 Warcq, Ardennes, France), located in the immediate vicinity of the Belgian border. Cross-border logistics are handled by MCA's own fleet (200 vehicles running on B100 biofuel).
